In the Market for good bands that capture
http://www.panicrecords.net
Panics Records have some very good bands coming out with new cds in the coming months
Hostage Calm
Another Breath
You can get a preview of Another Breath albums here http://www.punknews.org/bands/anotherbreath
This label also is home to some bands gone but still hold steady in the hardcore scene like TRIAL and BARRICADE . Check out the site you wont be disappointed.
Also Texas' own The Golden Age is also on this label and they really bring a great energy much need in the state of Texas. They just recently come out with a awesome 7 inch that I recommend to the hardcore ears. You can pick it up a one of their shows or on their myspace.

Converge, Axe To Fall, Review
Converge has yet again succeed in melting and ripping off the faces of anyone who dare to listen. Their recent album, Axe To Fall, their follow up from, No Heroes (A must listen also), is everything and more to expect from the Salem boys. Fast, aggressive, packs a thousand fists there really is nothing else to say other than its just fucking sick.
Musicanship Rating = 9/10
Lyrics Rating = 8/5
Overall Rating = 9/10
Stand Out Tracks
1. Dark Horse
2.Reap What You Sow
6. Wishing Well
7. Damages
I recommend this to all who enjoy hardcore, converge and any thing on the verge of insanity.

The Fall Of Troy, In The Unlikely Event, review
I won't be a bitch and feed you leaves and berries. I'm gonna feed you the branches, dirt and bark. This album is shit. I regret purchasing it. Being a huge fan of The Fall Of Troy, I've given it more than 10'000 tries. Its just bad, almost hard to listen to. The only saving grace is the music. At least the music hasn't lost its drive but its almost over shadowed by the dismal lyrics and the toneless vocals. It sounds like Thomas is trying to hit the right notes but the effect is just gross.
Musicianship Rating = 9/10
Lyrics Rating = 1/10
Overall Rating = 2.5/10
I don't recommend this record to anyone on the bases that it is absolutely dismal.

Strung Out, Agents Of The Underground Review
Strung Out, never ceases to impress with their punk, fast pace beats and increasingly impressive guitar riffs. Their new album Agents of the Underground is definitely worth a listen. I mean its no Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues but its still worth a good listen. All of Strung Outs release have been amazing from 1994 to now, They keep bringing us amazing songs. Agents of the Underground is a slight change in sound for Strung Out with a bit more harmony and melody but they don't stray for from their selves.
Musicianship Rating = 7.8/10
Lyrics Rating = 7/10
Overall Rating = 7.8/10
Stand out Tracks
1. Black Crosses
6. Ghetto Heater
7. Agents of the Underground
8. Nation Of Thieves
9. Jack Knife
11. Andy Warhol
I recommend Agents of the Underground to all who listen to Strung Out, Bad Religion and Pennywise. Ruth

Brand New's Daisy Review
Brand New has bought something new to the table yet again with this album Daisy, a huge step up from their 2006 release The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me. From beginning to end this record takes on a impression of deception, fall, and deceit. Although thou this album feels like a revolving overall depression, it also feels like the sad but noble acceptance of the inevitable. This album is nothing less than what I ever expected of Brand New yet nothing more. Daisy takes on the direction that the previous album left off but takes a somewhat larger step. Concept wise, Daisy is Brand News' best album to date. In terms of music it favors the mood of the album but nothing increasingly impressive. The music aspect of this album is actually very similar to their previous.
Musicianship rating - 5.5/10
Lyrics rating - 7/10
Overall rating - 7.5/10
Stand out Tracks:
1.Vices
3.At The Bottom
5.Stole
7.Sink
8.Bought a Bride
I recommend this record to all who enjoyed The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me.

Have Heart Last Time In Texas
The Band was a good start to a promising night with a kind of level headed punk sound that come off refreshing. You can check'em out here to hear for yourself.
http://www.myspace.com/endofayear (Self Defense Family)
So it began with Self Defense Family and soon moved on to Foundation who surely began to move the Foundation of the club. This was definitely the start of the hardcore night with hard hitting beats and strong effective guitar chords not to mention harsh tone vocals, Foundation very much is worth a good listen. Check'em out
http://www.myspace.com/xfoundationx
Next came Cruel Hand opening up with Life in Shambles turning a anxious Emos into a moving pit and stage dives. Sing-a-longs and heavy fist. Cruel Hand give off a lot of fucking good energy and played damn good to a crowd chanting songs.
http://www.myspace.com/cruelhand
Then Burst out Texas' own Bitter End and the end was fucking bitter, cause even thou I was fucking ready for Have Heart, I still wanted those guys to keep playing. The drummers a beast, the bassist is a Fiend, the rhythm guitar will move you and the lead will leave ya a little perplexed. I haven't seen any hardcore band use a psycho dell wah wah like the lead pulled off and its definitely worth hearing again.
http://www.myspace.com/bitterend
Finally, Have Heart. Long awaited last to see. The presence was vicious and so was the crowd. There are few shows where you feel like your apart of something great, that the band and the lead singer can make you feel like the world doesnt matter for that moment. Only few. And one of those few is calling it quites. Pat made it perfectly clear that there would be no getting back together or reunion shows or festival appearances. Have Heart is no more but fucking went out with a bang. My only wish was for the night to have lasted a bit longer. Have Heart played
To Us Fools
Watch Me Sink
The Unbreakable
Something More Than Ink
The Machinist
Watch Me Rise
The Same Son
Bostons
Pave Paradise
Hard Bark On The Family Tree
The Taste Of The Floor
Just not in that order
Maybe I'm a greedy bitch but I wanted a little more for a last show but I'm still happy with what was given because it was given with passion and nothing other.
http://www.myspace.com/haveheart
Over All. Good Drive. Good Night. Good Show. Great Venue. Great Bands. Half decent people. Except for those fuckers who like to steal.
Better luck next time Bitch!

The Casualties: A Short Review of "We Are All We Have"
First off, I'd like to say that I feel that this is the best record that the New York Street Punks have released to date.
If you feel that The Casualties are one of the bands that can never improve and add new elements to their sound....you're sadly mistaken. With "We Are All We Have" they have dabbled in elements of reggae in such tracks as "In the Tombs" and most notably in "Rockers Reggae". Don't be fooled, the fast in-your-face punk is still there just as it has been in previous albums and like it's predecessors the angry, hate filled vocals towards the US government, the rich, and the struggle of the everyday working class man are still intact.
Now, I've never been one to give five stars for anything, but I do believe this album is a solid five. If you have yet to pick up this amazing record you need to asap.
Stand out tracks
- We Are All We Have
- Heart Bleeds Black
- Apocalypse Today
- Rise and Fall
- In the Tombs
- Clock Work
- Rockers Reggae (Working Mans Dub)
